Job Title: Cloud Data Lead/Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Data Lead/Architect to join our team at INUMELLAS CONSULTANCY SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED. As a Cloud Data Lead/Architect, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based data solutions. You will lead a team of data engineers and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data is managed efficiently, securely, and is accessible for business intelligence and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data architecture strategies that align with business goals.
  • Develop and enforce data management policies and standards.
  • Oversee the integration of data from various sources, including internal systems and external partners, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to support their needs, including providing data access and optimizing data pipelines for analysis.
  • Evaluate and recommend data technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance data management and analytics capabilities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, business stakeholders, and data engineers to ensure data architecture meets organizational needs.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams.
  • Monitor and optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architecture, including data flows, data models, and technical specifications.

Technical Skills:

  • Cloud Data:
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS services (IAM, Redshift, Step Functions)
    • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (like CloudFormation Stack)
    • Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
    • Experience with data processing and analysis tools (AWS Glue, EMR)
  • Big Data Technologies:
    • Strong experience of Hadoop, Spark, or other big data processing frameworks.
    • ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes:
      • Experience with tools like IBM DataStage, ODI, Informatica, Talend, Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Apache Nifi.
    • Data Transformation:
      • Skills in data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment.
    • Data Warehousing Architecture:
      • Understanding of data warehouse architecture, including staging, data integration, and presentation layers.

Requirements:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in cloud data architecture and engineering.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, data architecture, and leadership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Must have worked with US customers and should have provided at least 3-4 hours overlap with Pacific Time (PT).
