We are seeking an experienced Steel Industry Operations Manager to join our team at Maan Source in Gamharia, Jamshedpur. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to new heights and be part of a dynamic industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rolling mill operations, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for supervising billet preparation operational activities, ensuring availability of billets, maintaining product quality, and safety at the shop floor.

The selected candidate will also develop billet preparation line SOPs, provide training to subordinates, maintain spares and shift manpower for smooth operation, and monitor KPIs assigned to ensure timely delivery of results.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pre-job safety communication with shift personnel
  • 100% implementation of all Safety recommendations & observations compliance to avoid reoccurrence of incident
  • Monitoring of billet preparation line-shot blasting, MPI, Grinding, Sorting Table and supply to mill
  • Ensuring operation of each equipment as per parameters, quality of billet as specified, maintaining data records, monitoring consumable requirements
  • Planning of spares required according to the different lead time of spares
  • Monitoring of KPI assigned & take action in case of any adverse deviation
  • Conduct meetings for breakdown analysis to arrive at root cause

The successful candidate will have excellent technical competencies, including knowledge of steel grades, hot rolling, surface defects, and preventive maintenance. They will also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.
