Job Title: Web Development Specialist

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing user-facing web applications. This includes developing highly responsive, interactive, and user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Main Responsibilities:

  • User Interface (UI) Development: Create visually appealing and engaging web interfaces that meet the requirements of our users.
  • Component-Based Development: Build reusable UI components and pages using React.js to ensure scalability and maintainability.
  • Core JavaScript Proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in Vanilla JavaScript, including ES6+ features, DOM manipulation, and asynchronous programming.
  • Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure seamless compatibility across various browsers and devices by implementing pixel-perfect designs and styling using CSS methodologies like Flexbox, Grid, and CSS-in-JS.
  • Server-Side Interaction: Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate with server-side APIs, demonstrating a deep understanding of how server-side languages like PHP function to serve data and content.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring an exceptional user experience.
  • Testing & Debugging: Write unit and integration tests for frontend components and effectively debug issues across the application stack.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4-6 years of professional experience in frontend web development.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Proven experience with React.js and its ecosystem, including Redux, React Router, and Hooks.
  • Demonstrable strong proficiency in Vanilla JavaScript, with a deep understanding of core language features and browser APIs.
  • Good knowledge of a server-side language like PHP, including how frontend applications interact with PHP-driven backends via APIs.
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex frontend issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other JavaScript frameworks/libraries, such as Next.js, Vue.js, or Angular.
  • Familiarity with build tools like Webpack, Vite, or Gulp.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, including Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards, such as WCAG.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and design tools, including Figma or Sketch.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
