Job Description

As a hybrid metrology end-to-end solution tester, you will perform various types of testing to ensure the quality of software for optical metrology systems. This includes integration testing for hardware/software systems, system interface testing, functional testing for software services/modules, regression and benchmarking testing for system performance, and more.

You will be responsible for covering the entire metrology solution workflow from operating optical metrology tools in acquiring measure data, preparing and setting up recipes for measurement, to producing thin film/OCD metrology solutions. Your close collaboration with product, hardware, software, application, and characterization teams is crucial in designing SQA testing strategies and plans based on product requirements, system specifications, and technical design documents.

Your key responsibilities include creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. You will plan, coordinate, and execute testing activities to meet product release schedules and requirements. Additionally, you will design, implement, and maintain test automation capabilities to improve the efficiency and coverage of SQA testing.

You will also develop, maintain, and improve testing suites/processes for various purposes such as feature testing, regression testing, release testing, and benchmarking. Furthermore, you will document software defects and work closely with software teams in addressing them. Tracking quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts, is also part of your role.

Ultimately, your goal is to identify software quality gaps and provide solutions. To stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies, you will continually seek knowledge and best practices in the field.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related discipline.
  • Passion for quality and taking ownership.
  • Critical problem-solving and strong analytical skills.
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of SQA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive test plans and test cases based on software requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools.
  • Solid knowledge in scripting.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Prior experience with working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: semiconductor front-end processes, Thin Film and OCD metrology technologies, optical spectroscopies, and material characterization.
  • A Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more of the following areas: numerical analysis, machine learning, software development.
  • ISTQB Certification.
