As a seasoned professional in software development, we are seeking an exceptional Java engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with functional programming, microservices architecture, and cloud deployment patterns.

This role requires a deep understanding of Java's modern capabilities, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native development. You will design and implement microservices using modern Java functional programming concepts, collaborate on event-driven systems using Kafka, and apply architectural patterns like Choreography, Strangler, and Sidecar.

You will participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions, developing and deploying applications in public cloud environments using services like Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, and Cloud Storage. Your expertise will be valuable in writing clean, testable, and scalable code with emphasis on readability and maintainability.

You should have a foundational understanding of deployment patterns and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments. Core Java & Functional Programming skills are essential, including deep understanding of Java Streams, Functional Interfaces, Lambda expressions, Supplier, Consumer, Function, and reduce operations. Experience with newer Java features (preferably Java 17+) is also required.

We require a strong knowledge of microservices design patterns, including Choreography (Kafka-based), Strangler Pattern, and Sidecar Pattern. Hands-on experience with Kafka or other message brokers in an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) is necessary. In addition, you should have hands-on experience deploying applications in public cloud environments, familiarity with Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, or equivalents, and understanding of deployment automation, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD best practices.
