Revenue Management Leadership

We are seeking a seasoned Revenue Management professional to lead our revenue growth initiatives across various revenue streams.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining revenue management standards, reviewing and measuring business performance against established goals, and monitoring thresholds within the two to three-year forecast to ensure measurable improvements in demand and availability.

In this role, you will work closely with regional teams to develop specific strategies for growth, analyze citywide and special events, implement revenue management strategies to maximize demand generators, and monitor competitors for shifts in demand, rate, and strategy.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue management functions, including research, planning, market positioning, market segments, internal marketing, distribution channels, sales management, reservations, and yield management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze short- and long-term forecasting, Analyze trends in group inventories & rates to include occupancy, goals, product line, and strategic sales goals.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing channels, key accounts, and other production. Ensure that all major channels of distribution effectively support the product and maintain rate parity.
  • Review future bookings and evaluate trends.
  • Update all channels of distribution as needed with rate or inventory restrictions.
  • Work with each region to develop region-specific strategies for growth. Establish appropriate goals and benchmarks to effectively measure performance.
  • Monitor and analyze the competition weekly through various channels, internet, news reports to identify selling strategies and emerging trends.
  • Explore and provide variations in the market mix which would stimulate additional revenue without increasing costs.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of software programs contributing to revenue management.
  • Assist with implementing Revenue Management basics and standards. Implement tools to automate and streamline consultations as well as document action plans.
  • Foster a culture of Revenue Management throughout all departments.
  • Develop and implement succession planning for Revenue Management talent.

Requirements:

  • MBA / Post Graduate in Finance & Revenue Management preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years experience with travel/airline/hotel industry & with three to five years in Revenue Management.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication & organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient at statistical and competitive analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively analyze and use operational, financial, and marketing data to maintain and improve market share/penetration goals.
  • Understanding of business operations and can associate with their needs through the revenue department.
  • Ability to work well under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to a constantly changing market.
