Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Testing Engineer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Python, Pandas, REST API and testing, with a solid understanding of data validation, data processing.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes.

They will also be responsible for validating data integrity across various sources including APIs, databases.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases for data validation and transformation processes.
  • Validate data integrity across various sources including APIs, databases.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and developers to understand data flows and ensure quality across the pipeline.
  • Develop Python scripts using Pandas for data comparison, profiling, and anomaly detection.
  • Test data against RESTful APIs for correctness, performance, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Work with MongoDB for data storage, retrieval, and intermediate queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Python and Pandas for data manipulation and testing.
  • Hands-on experience using tools like Postman, Pytest, or similar.
  • Experience with data validation, data profiling, and data quality frameworks.
  • Familiarity with MongoDB and NoSQL data models is a plus.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
