Senior Development Engineer Job Description

As a Senior Development Engineer, you will lead development tasks in Python and React, including coding and debugging of complex scope. You will work as a fully contributing team member, under broad guidance, and apply your own judgment to determine the course of action to execute it, post review.

You will coach, guide, and mentor junior members in the team to help them scale up faster. Your expertise in AI tools and ability to incorporate them into your daily work will be valuable assets in this role.

This position requires advanced knowledge of SDLC, Operating systems, Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Programming Systems, and Databases. You should have experience working on n-tier desktop or client-side web applications using one or more Web and UI frameworks.

Additionally, you should have working knowledge of web server technologies and non-functional requirements like Scalability, Performance, and Security. The ability to utilize AI and mentor junior members on AI best practices is an advantage.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4 years with a Master's degree, or a PhD with 2 years' experience. They should possess excellent written and spoken communication skills, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creating high-level and low-level designs for given functional requirements.
  2. Mentoring junior members in technical skills, methodology, and product knowledge.
  3. Following best coding practices and assisting colleagues with design reviews, code reviews, implementation, and information about existing implementations.
  4. Being an expert in one or more modules of the product and having a good understanding of core modules of secondary products.

Requirements:

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 4 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 2 years' experience; or equivalent experience.
