Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and strategic Garment Technical Manager to oversee manufacturing and export operations of our woven apparel division. This role involves managing all aspects of production, including garment fit checking. The Technical Manager will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, ensuring necessary documents, and identifying problems with logical decision-making while maintaining a focus on cost optimization and profitability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical development process of production operations for the woven apparel export division.
  • Closely collaborate with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure accurate translation of garment designs into production-ready patterns and specifications.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize production efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production samples to identify and address deviations from quality standards.
  • Work closely with manufacturing units to resolve technical issues and improve production processes.
  • Conduct internal QMS process audits.
  • Train and mentor team members on garment construction techniques, quality control procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Delegate tasks effectively, prioritizing workload to meet project deadlines and production schedules.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on production performance, key initiatives, strategic objectives, and updates in PLM.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in production operations management, preferably in the woven apparel manufacturing and export industry.
  • Strong knowledge of different fabrics and styles of garments.
  • Proven track record of success in driving operational excellence, improving productivity, and achieving cost savings in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of garment fitting and sample review.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
