Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to oversee and optimize our companys operational processes. The Director of Operations will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of our operations. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership abilities, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the companys goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Process Optimization: Evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity. Implement best practices and innovative solutions.
- Transform the Organization to have a Metrics-Driven Culture:

- Lead the initiative to establish a robust, data-driven culture across all departments within the organization.
- Ensure that performance metrics, KPIs, and OKRs are developed, communicated, and adhered to by all teams.
- Design and implement systems, frameworks, and processes that support the transition to a fully metric-driven organization.
- Consistent Data Flow Across Departments:
- Oversee the collection of data to track metrics, ensuring it flows seamlessly through systems and tools.
- Eliminate manual intervention by automating data collection, reporting, and monitoring processes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Budget Management: Oversee the operations budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and financial targets are met.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Negotiate contracts and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all operations comply with legal, regulatory, and company policies. Identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales, marketing, engineering, product support, finance, and People and Culture, to ensure seamless operations and achieve company objectives.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure that operational processes deliver high-quality products and services that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Act as the primary liaison between the organization and the legal team.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business results.
- Skills:

- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance operational efficiency
- Excellent strategic planning and execution abilities
- Proficient in process improvement methodologies
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using operational software and tools
