Job Title: Organic Chemist
About the Job:
As an Organic Chemist, you will play a crucial role in designing and synthesizing novel fluorescent dyes and advanced organic compounds.
You will be responsible for optimizing existing synthetic protocols for yield, scalability, and efficiency. Your expertise in purification techniques, including column chromatography, HPLC, recrystallization, and preparative TLC, will help to isolate high-quality compounds.
In addition, you will apply advanced spectroscopic methods, such as NMR, LC-MS, UV-Vis, and fluorescence spectroscopy, to characterize compounds and analyze spectral data to confirm structure, identity, and purity.
Accurate and detailed lab documentation is essential, and you will also collaborate with biology and product development teams to ensure project goals are aligned.
With a strong background in Organic Chemistry and a passion for innovative chemistry solutions, you will stay updated with scientific advancements and contribute to the development of next-generation research products.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Organic Chemistry or related field.
- 2-3 years hands-on experience in organic synthesis, preferably in industry.
- Strong expertise in fluorophore/organic molecule synthesis & purification.
- Proficiency in flash chromatography, HPLC, and advanced purification techniques.
- Analytical expertise in NMR (¹H, ¹³C), MS, and IR spectroscopy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous lab practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
