Backend Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our team on a project basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend applications and APIs.

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance applications and APIs.
  • Write clean, well-documented code and ensure it is efficient and reliable.
  • Implement RESTful/GraphQL APIs and integrate with frontend services.
  • Work with databases (SQL & NoSQL) for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Ensure application security, authentication, and authorization.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Proficiency in at least one core backend framework: Django (Python), Spring Boot (Java), ASP.NET Core (C#), or Laravel (PHP).
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and software architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, GraphQL, and microservices.
  • Experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Familiarity with real-time communication (Sockets, SignalR, gRPC, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Event-driven architectures and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Knowledge of system scaling, load balancing, caching strategies.
  • DevOps practices: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm), monitoring & logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
