Job Summary


We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineering Director to lead the development of cloud-based systems and AI-powered solutions. This role requires expertise in software design principles, data structures, and algorithms, as well as experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering scalable and reliable software solutions, driving engineering excellence, and mentoring teams to achieve business goals.



Key Responsibilities



  • Define and implement software development approaches that raise the bar across the organization, ensuring high engineering standards and innovative solutions.
  • Build architectures and solutions to improve engineer productivity and solution robustness, mediating technical discussions and building alignment across teams.
  • Incorporate continuous feedback loops to measure customer value, usage patterns, and actionable metrics, driving operational excellence and proposing scalable improvements.
  • Provide technical guidance, collaborate with stakeholders, and lead strategic projects, fostering collaboration between teams and identifying opportunities for investment growth.
  • Recognize areas for underinvestment, build compelling cases for increased investment, and lead organizational change to drive impact.


Requirements



  • Minimum 12 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, focusing on backend or full-stack development.
  • Expertise in Java, Python, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Mastery of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience designing and building scalable and reliable distributed systems in cloud environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical and business problems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor multiple teams across complex business problems.
  • Financial services or fintech industry experience is a significant advantage.
