Job Description

We are seeking a Highway Design Specialist to lead and mentor our engineering teams in delivering sustainable infrastructure solutions.

This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in highway design, including road geometry, junction designs, road restraint systems, circulation plans, pavement design, signage, and road markings. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading a team and managing relationships with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be adept at directing and verifying the use of relevant design software such as Civil 3D, Open Roads, Infraworks, Navisworks, PDS/Key Line and Sign, AutoCAD, and ProjectWise. Experience in liaising with clients, co-professionals, and design teams is also essential.

To succeed in this role, you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective time management and strong organizational skills. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status of a recognized professional institution would be an advantage.

You will have a Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent qualification, along with more than 12 years of post-graduate experience in highway design. Member of a recognized institution and working towards chartership would be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers and designers.
  • Oversee all stages of highway projects from conception through completion.
  • Provide technical leadership in highway design.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and public agencies.
  • Develop and apply advanced engineering concepts and strategies.
