Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Music Programming Lead to develop and implement music content strategies across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of music genres, moods, and social media use cases.

Responsibilities:

  • Create editorial calendars for playlists, campaigns, seasons, and creator trends.
  • Develop a keen sense of music discovery and audience needs.
  • Work closely with data teams to inform curation decisions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, A&R, and content operations teams.
  • Guide curation based on content gaps, data insights, or upcoming product features.
  • Drive thematic campaigns like "Summer Essentials" or "Top Songs for Gaming."
  • Optimize playlist placements and homepage content to increase track discovery, downloads, and licensing.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 4–6 years of experience in music programming, editorial curation, or content strategy at a music-tech company, DSP, media platform, or similar.
  • A strong global music sensibility with the ability to spot trends across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, campaigns, and curation calendars.

Bonus Points

If you have experience collaborating with dashboards or using tools like Mixpanel, that's a plus You'll also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest content trends on social media and adjust your strategy accordingly.
