Cloud Architect Job Description

This is a key role for the company to create strategic designs for our global IT infrastructure and cloud landscape. The Cloud Architect will be responsible for maintaining the overall architecture, ensuring alignment with business continuity, scalability, cybersecurity, and performance goals.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Architecture Strategy & Blueprinting: Define and maintain the global infrastructure and cloud architecture blueprint.
  2. Solution Design & Project Enablement: Architect infrastructure solutions for large programs (e.g., DC transformation, AD consolidation, hybrid cloud migration).
  3. Technology Evaluation & Adoption: Evaluate emerging technologies such as Zero Trust, SD-WAN, SASE, Edge Computing, and Infra-as-Code.
  4. Architecture Governance & Standards: Own and enforce architecture principles, standards, and reference models.
  5. Collaboration & Knowledge Enablement: Partner with delivery, cybersecurity, and service teams to translate designs into build/run.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 12+ years of infrastructure experience, with 5+ years in an architecture role across global delivery models.
  • Proven track record of designing and governing large-scale infra/cloud deployments.
  • Cloud Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Architect).
  • TOGAF, ITIL Foundation preferred.
