This is a challenging opportunity to work as part of a team responsible for designing and implementing fire suppression systems in accordance with international standards. As a Fire Suppression Engineer, you will be expected to provide technical expertise in the design, specification, and installation of fire suppression systems.

  • Design and develop fire suppression system layouts and specifications in accordance with local codes and standards.
  • Review and interpret tender documents, including drawings, specifications, and technical data sheets.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that fire suppression systems meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of fire suppression technologies, including clean agents, gas suppression systems, and water-based systems.
  • Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to source fire suppression products and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality management procedures and industry standards.

Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in fire suppression engineering, preferably with a major contractor or consulting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of fire suppression technologies, including clean agents, gas suppression systems, and water-based systems.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Familiarity with fire suppression system design software, such as FireCad and SprinkCad.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations, including NFPA and BSEN standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including drawings and specifications.
