Job Title: US Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team.

  • Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in implementing and supporting weekly, monthly, or bi-weekly payroll processes with at least 1-2 years of experience.
  • Excellent communication skills are required for understanding client requirements, business discussions, and solution recommendations for production issues and enhancements.
  • The selected candidate will work closely with US teams and clients to ensure End-to-End Payroll management.
  • A high level of accuracy is expected while running the payroll.

Responsibilities:

  1. Processing stop payments and re-issue as required.
  2. Wage garnishment deduction setup administration based on order.
  3. Monitoring and handling ACH rejects.
  4. Research on payroll tickets/query.
  5. Payroll state registration (SIT/UI/Local Taxes if required).
  6. Preparation of final check (termination) based on state compliances.
  7. Experience is required for implementing and maintaining QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Rippling, ADP Run, ADP WFN, Trinet, Paylocity, Justworks, etc.
  8. Ability to produce various required payroll reports from respective systems.
  9. Maintaining communications with clients, employees, and vendors in an efficient and timely manner.
  10. Ensuring accurate and timely processing in accordance with procedures & client requirements.
  11. Pre/post payroll and tax reconciliation.

Requirements:

  • Strong time and priority management skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) is required.
  • Familiarity with Form 940, 941, W-4, W-2, I-9, FICA, SUTA, etc.
  • A good knowledge of health benefits, 401k, state tax filing (SIT/UI), TPA administration, workers comp insurance (including monopolistic states), etc.
  • Familiarity with gross-up/non-gross up bonus/commissions.
  • Knowledge of overtime calculation based on respective state guidelines.
