Radiology Medical Coding Specialist

Our organization seeks a detail-oriented Radiology Medical Coder to accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, Modifiers and HCPCS codes for diagnostic and Therapeutic radiology procedures.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in radiology coding with IR and a thorough understanding of MIPS Coding guidelines.
This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies.
Additionally, you will be responsible for staying updated with the latest coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes.
Key Responsibilities:- Review and analyze radiology reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes ensuring compliance with ACR, CMS, and payer guidelines.
- Code a variety of radiology modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation oncology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient coding processes.
- Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as established by the department.
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in radiology coding with IR preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes
- Familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies
