QA Engineer for Automation and Manual Testing

Finding the right candidate for our team is crucial to delivering exceptional results. We are seeking an experienced Manual QA/OTT Tester who can contribute to our success.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automated testing tools, such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, RestAssured, and SoapUI. They should also be proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining Python-based test automation frameworks and scripts using BDD and TDD.

In addition, we require candidates with experience in Non-Functional Testing (Performance Testing, Stress Testing), testing compatibility with Audio/Video streaming devices, HDMI/HDCP, Wireless Networks, and Bluetooth. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  1. Generate Test Plans and strategies for new features for a leader in audio/video devices.
  2. Write and execute needed automated and manual tests to ensure the new features will delight customers.
  3. Innovation of automated test development for applications developed in Linux/C/C++.
  4. Develop automation test scripts using Python and BDD/LLM.
  5. Contribute to the Continuous Integration pipeline by running component builds, creating and running Deployment jobs on individual stages on Jenkins, and running automated functional tests.
  6. Conduct code reviews for improved code quality and optimization.
  7. Collaborate with Manual QA, Project leads, and development throughout the software development life cycle.
  8. Debug failing tests to improve product and automated test quality.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of relevant test automation development experience.
  • Python programming experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Solid knowledge and experience developing test plans and test cases.
  • Excellent debugging skills and comfortable working with Linux based systems.
  • Proficiency with the use of continuous integration tools (Jenkins/Hudson, TeamCity, Maven, Gradle).
  • Experience working with Git/GitLab.
  • Have an ability to communicate with candor and effectiveness.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional and remote teams.
  • A self-directed professional able to work independently.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant fields.
