Tax Compliance Specialist

About the Position
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Compliance Specialist to fill this role. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on financial reporting and compliance with tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Reconcile tax records with purchase documents and coordinate with vendors for discrepancies.
- Handle Input Tax Credit (ITC) calculations and utilization.
- Manage and record daily accounting transactions in an ERP system.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, purchases, and expenses with proper documentation.
- Coordinate with auditors for tax audits and assessments.
- Generate reports for internal use – profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and tax summaries.
- Ensure timely payment of taxes and professional fees.
- Liaise with vendors, customers, and government authorities regarding tax queries.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting with a focus on tax filing and reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and basic MS Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or product-based company.
- Experience coordinating with external auditors or tax consultants.
