Senior Technology Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for participating in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activity streams as a Senior Technical team member.

As a Senior Consultant, your responsibilities will include participating in the analysis, design and implementation of solutions for various business requirements, developing programs as per specifications/requirements given by Oracle / Client within planned schedule, using defined standards/tools/processes to achieve deliverables that meet quality expectations of Oracle / Client, documenting all work in accordance with agreed standards/processes applicable for Oracle / Client, adhering to defined Change Control Process of Oracle / Client, complying with Oracle / Client audit / Compliance requirements, ensuring quality code delivery, performing proper handover / knowledge transfer at end of each assignment, timely status reporting to supervisor, and timely submission of timesheets and expenses for Oracle / Clients.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Primary skills required for this role include experience in end-to-end Development and / or Implementation and / or Support activities covering expertise areas such as design of customizations, Coding and Unit testing, executing Test cycle rounds including End of Days, migrations and Integrations for Oracle FLEXCUBE / Core banking products.

You should possess knowledge and skills in software programming in Core Java, J2EE, Microservices related technologies, Springboot, JavaScript, XML. Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Database (18c or 12c) is a plus. You have exposure to software deployment and troubleshooting on Application Server software especially Oracle Weblogic. You have working knowledge of Release management and Source control tools. You should be able to perform issue tracking for applications and follow-up for resolution of same with stakeholders. You possess good client interaction skills in areas including presentation of solutions. You have awareness of banking terminologies and concepts. You possess good skills on Microsoft Office, MS Excel, Powerpoint. You possess good communication & documentation skills in English.

Secondary skills include exposure to Banking Domain, experience in software development processes and practices, DevOps tools, Testing tools. Experience includes experience of 3to 7years with 2 years in primary skill areas. Educational and other qualifications include Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree. Work environment includes willingness to work at offshore as well as travel to client locations, willingness to take up Oracle Banking / FLEXCUBE Technical certifications in functional areas as and when required, ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging environment, team player, and ability to work on shifts on rotation basis based on project needs.
