Job Title: Vice President of Pre-Clinical Laboratory Operations
The Vice President of Pre-Clinical Laboratory Operations plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of laboratory animal studies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic planning and execution of blood collection from various laboratory animals
  • Maintenance and oversight of anesthesia / euthanasia protocols for laboratory animals
  • Planning for necropsy examination and histopathological analysis
  • Preparation and conduct of necropsy examination and tissue trimming, processing, block making, sectioning, slide staining of various studies
  • Histopathological slide reading and report preparation for toxicity and efficacy studies
  • Maintenance of high standard quality control checks for in-house biochemical analysis
  • Implementation and supervision of SOPs related to pathology area
  • Control and maintenance of histopathology related instruments
  • Review of various in-house test results
  • Involvement in planning and execution of pharmacological evaluation projects

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provision of necessary chemicals and materials for projects
  • Responsible for RQA comments on SOPs, Protocols, Reports and study audits
  • Planning and execution of health monitoring of animal and employee
  • Collection of samples, analysis / dispatch of samples for various analyses
  • Preparation and execution of calibration schedule for pathology related equipment
  • Preparation and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for pathology lab related equipment
