About this opportunity:

We're seeking a seasoned Ruby on Rails expert to join our team.

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing new or changing existing web applications APIs.

You will also maintain and troubleshoot web applications and APIs, write and maintain reliable Ruby/Rails code, integrate with data storage solutions such as databases, file storage, or object storage, create services using microservices architecture, Dockerize applications/services, identify and fix bottlenecks and bugs, and integrate user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.

To succeed in this role, you will need experience with Ruby on Rails, proficiency in either Sidekiq or Shoryuken, solid knowledge in React and Typescript, and familiarity with AWS, with a specific emphasis on SQS (Simple Queue Service).

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required. You must also be willing to work in EST hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and developing new or changing existing web applications/APIs.

  • Creating services using microservices architecture.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails.
  • Expertise in either Sidekiq or Shoryuken, showcasing a deep understanding of background job processing.
  • Solid knowledge in React and Typescript, demonstrating the ability to work with modern frontend technologies.
  • Familiarity with AWS, with a specific emphasis on SQS (Simple Queue Service).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Willingness to work in EST hours.
