We are seeking seasoned engineers who can drive scalable systems with a startup mindset. Our culture prioritizes data-driven innovation and collaboration across teams to ensure seamless platform performance.

As a key member of our Observability team, you will contribute to both platform and software codebases. Your expertise in cloud-native design, legacy maintenance, and SRE best practices will help us grow our systems into industry leaders in efficiency, stability, observability, velocity, and scale.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design, build, and maintain scalable systems, focusing on fault tolerance, availability, and performance.
  • Influence the design and architecture of our system as part of our Cloud Enablement journey while maintaining critical legacy tools.
  • Work with software engineers and platform Engineers to develop repeatable systems, leveraging each other's strengths.
  • Guide the conversation around code and architecture, driving technical efficiency across the organization.
  • Help service owners set realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and error budgets, ensuring reliability in production services.
  • Provide production support and creatively solve challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Participate in a shared on-call schedule managed across Engineering.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Mentor new hires and other engineers through example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues.

We are looking for experienced professionals with 6+ years of experience in DevOps or SRE roles, software development, or a related field, with a strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure.

Key qualifications include:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Server-side software engineering skills (Python, Go, Java, BASH).
  • Design experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, with a focus on performance monitoring and tracing instrumentation, and SLI/SLO/SLAs.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication skills across engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Terraform).

  • Experience gathering and balancing requirements from technical and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor engineers and lead code reviews.
