Job Title: Senior Healthcare Underwriting Professional

We are seeking an experienced and skilled senior healthcare underwriting professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to make informed decisions.

The role involves reviewing medical records, assessing risks, and making recommendations for insurance coverage. You will work closely with medical professionals, stakeholders, and other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.

About the Role:
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of medical conditions, treatments, and medications.
  • Analyse complex medical data, identify patterns, and make sound judgments.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including medical professionals, customers, and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement underwriting strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
Key Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in medicine (MBBS preferred) or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of experience in medical underwriting, with a minimum of 6 years in health insurance underwriting.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing teams, partners, and day-to-day transactions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making abilities.
