Master Data Governance Consultant: A Key Role in Business Optimization

\

Job Description: As a Master Data Governance (MDG) consultant, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and development of MDG solutions for material, customer, supplier, or finance master data.


  • Design and develop comprehensive master data governance solutions to enhance business operations.
  • Work on integrations with both SAP and non-SAP systems to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Configure and enhance data models, UIs, and workflows as per business requirements.
  • Utilize DRF (Data Replication Framework) and perform related configurations to ensure effective data management.
  • Ensure the effective use of SOA, Business Functions, and Change Requests to streamline processes.

Process Documentation & Workflow Management: Document master data processes using tools like Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint.



  • Develop and manage workflows and business rules using BRF+ to optimize decision-making.
  • Perform data validation, profiling, cleansing, and migration activities to ensure data accuracy.

SAP Tool Integration & Support: Work with tools such as SAP Data Services and SAP Data Steward for data management.



  • Understand key processes such as entity modeling, workflow editions, value mapping, data replication, and data transfers.
  • Support SAP upgrades and MDG-specific upgrades where applicable to ensure smooth transition.

Cross-functional & Presales Engagements: Participate in RFPs and presales activities to drive business growth.



  • Collaborate with global teams across multicultural and multi-country environments to deliver results.
  • Maintain familiarity with tools like SolMan, ChaRM, and optionally JIRA to stay ahead of industry trends.

Project Delivery: Manage deliverables within tight timelines and short notice periods.



  • Deliver high-quality work under pressure with effective time management to meet project objectives.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.



  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel short-term or long-term internationally as per project needs to expand your professional network.
