Senior Maritime Operations Executive

The role of Senior Maritime Operations Executive is a strategic position that requires an individual with extensive experience in managing maritime operations and equipment control at ports. The ideal candidate should possess a Graduate or Postgraduate degree from a reputable institution and have approximately 18-20 years of post-qualification experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage operational activities, ensuring zero service failure
  • Coordinate with principals, vendors, and external agencies to optimize revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with operational safety standards, cost-effectiveness, and problem-solving skills

The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and controlling operational activities, coordinating with external agencies, and enforcing operational standards to ensure fast turnaround of vessels in port. Additionally, they will need to communicate and enforce operational standards to ensure customer satisfaction, loading and discharge of cargo, and coordinate with external agencies like Port and Customs.

Responsibilities also include monitoring and controlling all operations to ensure customer satisfaction, office administration, MIS, payables, receivables, and improving operational procedures and systems. A strong ability to manage people and external agencies is crucial for this role.

Requirements include a strong background in handling Container/Bulk/Break Bulk/Project Cargo/Lifts on-Lifts off/RoRo operations, as well as experience in effectively managing people and external agencies. Master Mariners are preferred for this role.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
