**Job Title:** High Performance Computing Specialist

**Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional to administer and maintain high performance computing clusters. This includes managing user accounts, creating and maintaining image templates, installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux operating systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HPC system administration, preferably in a Red Hat/CentOS Linux environment. Additionally, they should be knowledgeable about AWS CloudFormation templates and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Administration of HPC clusters
  • User account management for HPC onboarding and offboarding
  • Creation and maintenance of image templates
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems
  • Support for HPC necessary components and native services
  • AWS managed active directory support and management
  • Continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components
  • Implementation and maintenance of compliance controls
  • Coordination with other teams in testing and migrating/installing engineering applications
  • Management of job schedulers
  • Utilization of node provisioning tools
  • Troubleshooting of system issues
  • Monitoring of system performance to ensure optimal operation of the HPC environment
  • Collaboration with other IT professionals to integrate new technologies into the existing infrastructure

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in HPC system administration
  • Experience with Red Hat/CentOS Linux environment
  • Knowledge of AWS CloudFormation templates
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
