Pricing Specialist Job Description

The ideal candidate will drive competitive pricing across multiple engagement models, ensuring profitability. Strong financial modeling skills and collaboration with sales teams are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead deal pricing for pursuits across Time and Material (T&M), Fixed Price, and Managed Services contracts.
  2. Partner with Sales, Solutioning, and Delivery teams to design commercial models that balance client competitiveness with company profitability objectives.
  3. Develop, review, and maintain pricing models and cost sheets; ensure compliance with internal approval processes.
  4. Conduct scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to assess risks, margins, and financial impact of large deals.
  5. Track and publish win-loss analysis for submitted deals to identify pricing trends and improvement areas.
  6. Support preparation and review of business unit Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  7. Deliver monthly profitability reports, highlighting key variances and recommending corrective actions.
  8. Provide financial insights on market benchmarks, competitor pricing, and industry trends to strengthen pricing strategy.
  9. Contribute to corporate finance initiatives, automation of pricing models, and governance processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong expertise in deal pricing, financial modeling, and margin analysis.
  • Solid understanding of IT services business models (Managed Services, Outsourcing, Application, Infrastructure).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial systems, and scenario modeling tools.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders under tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA (Finance) from a recognized institution is an added advantage.
