Equity Researcher Position

Our team is seeking a skilled Equity Researcher to assist Portfolio Managers/Chief Investment Officers in their investment decisions.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for building and updating complex financial models with scenario analysis, requiring meticulous attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • We use various valuation methods, including DCF, relative, SOTP, and others, to develop accurate assumptions and valuations with clear rationale.
  • The Equity Researcher will screen large datasets to identify investment ideas and provide valuable insights to our clients.
  • Discussions with PM/CIO on investment ideas and stock updates are a crucial part of the role.
  • The researcher will prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings, as well as create pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic notes.
  • Maintaining databases, collecting and analyzing news, handling ad hoc research requests, and maintaining constant communication with clients and other stakeholders are also key responsibilities.

To succeed in this role, the Equity Researcher should possess:

  • Excellent financial modeling and research report-writing/presentation making skills.
  • Able to think through drivers and KPIs across broad sectors.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and effective communication skills.
  • An eye for detail and ability to handle multiple workflows with tight deadlines.
  • Numerical abilities and proficiency in creating complex, error-free models with defined revenue/cost driver assumptions.
  • Carrying out earnings sensitivity analysis and providing own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based, or industry-specific valuations.
  • Effective writing skills, with the ability to write in a logical and structured manner that minimizes rework.
  • Ability to link macro/industry analysis to the output and build compelling presentations.
