Quality Assurance and Control Lead

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance and Control Lead will oversee all quality assurance and control processes at the manufacturing facility.

This role ensures compliance with industry standards, customer requirements, and internal quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Quality Management System (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Process Oversight: Monitor and control quality processes across all stages of production.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians to achieve quality objectives.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards and customer-specific requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives for process optimization, defect reduction, and quality improvement using tools like Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Testing and Validation: Oversee testing procedures to ensure product reliability and safety.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications.
  • Customer Interface: Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related customer queries, complaints, and audits.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate quality records and prepare reports.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or certifications in Quality Management is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the electrical manufacturing industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical panel design, manufacturing processes, and testing standards.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in QMS, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Proficiency in quality tools like FMEA and root cause analysis.
