Job Opportunity:

The Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP) team is seeking an exceptional analytical professional to join their Global Reliability and Maintenance Engineering Central Team.

This role involves working on a research-oriented team to create insights, bust myths, and produce recommendations that help deliver world-class service to the Amazon network.

Responsibilities include defining research questions, designing experiments, identifying data requirements, and communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistical analysis, experience with data visualization tools, and knowledge of database management systems.

This is a fast-paced business environment where you will work on exciting analytical problems, learn from other engineers, and apply business intelligence to inform leadership decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, and dashboards on key business drivers
  • Partner with operations and business teams to consult, develop, and implement KPIs, automated reporting solutions, and infrastructure improvements to meet business needs
  • Design and implement scaled, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. to support business requirements
  • Perform ad-hoc and strategic analyses
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting complex data sets using Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Strong background in statistical analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from databases or data warehouses and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling
  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  • Background in data mining, ETL, and using databases in business environments with large-scale, complex datasets
