IIB Middleware Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled IIB developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting integration solutions using IBM Integration Bus (IIB). You will work closely with business analysts, architects, and other developers to deliver robust middleware solutions that enable seamless communication between diverse systems.

  • Designing, developing, testing, and deploying integration flows using IBM Integration Bus (IIB).
  • Developing and maintaining message flows, ESQL, JavaCompute nodes, and other integration components.
  • Collaborating with business analysts and architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to middleware and integration components.
  • Performing unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Monitoring and optimizing the performance of integration solutions.
  • Documenting design, development, and operational procedures.
  • Working with other middleware technologies and tools as needed (e.g., MQ, REST/SOAP services).
  • Participating in code reviews and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Supporting production deployments and providing post-deployment support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an IIB developer with hands-on experience in IBM Integration Bus (v9, v10, or later).
  • Strong knowledge of ESQL, Java, and message flow development.
  • Experience with WebSphere MQ (MQ Series) and messaging concepts.
  • Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services.
  • Understanding of middleware architecture and integration patterns.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, and related data transformation techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex integration issues.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
