Optimize Global Operations as a Senior Planning Specialist

This is a critical role in the Production Planning – Calcination team, focused on optimizing raw material blending and production planning across global operations with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency, quality control, and data-driven analytics.

Duties:

  • Global Raw Material Scheduling: Develop schedules for pet coke feedstock across multiple regions to ensure alignment with shipment schedules.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor GPC inventories and CPC production rates to minimize stockouts and optimize production capacity.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze sourcing options and logistics to minimize costs while meeting CPC quality specifications.
  • Business Intelligence: Build business models using data analysis tools and Linear Programming (LP) for predictive planning.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Commercial, Technical Services, and Operations teams globally to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) on production, inventory, and cost optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in planning/blending, preferably in carbon/metallurgical industries.
  • Strong LP modeling and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools for optimization.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and adaptability in a global team environment.
