What you'll do:
BTP ABAP (Business Technology Platform ABAP), at the heart of SAP's technical foundation, shapes the global enterprise application landscape. In our dynamic unit, BTP ABAP AI, we drive ABAP's AI innovation and shape the vision of tomorrow, exploring the integration of Generative AI in ABAP Platform to unlock efficiency potential for ourselves, customers, and partners. Your role involves innovatively applying AI solutions to ABAP's language and programming models.
Responsibilities:
Manage AI project lifecycle from inception to rollout within ABAP tools, focusing on timely execution and adherence to high-quality standards
Train /fine-tune large language models to address the specific needs of the ABAP language and programming models.
Collaborate with data scientists to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.
Analyze and preprocess large datasets to prepare them for modeling.
Conduct experiments and performance evaluations of AI models.
Document development processes and create technical specifications.
Empower developers by seamlessly integrating AI technology into their workflows, equipping them with advanced tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and output quality.
Share your knowledge and educate developers to harness AI technology for business application development.
Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in AI and machine learning.
Excellent team player, passionate about his/her work, self-motivated and driven
What you bring:
Applicants for this position should have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and possess relevant experience.
Hands on experience with AI innovations like natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLM) or traditional ML /AI model training with proven track record of driving the successful launch and market adoption of AI solutions.
Proficiency in ABAP programming language is necessary. Candidates are expected to understand ABAP development principles, SAP systems, and programming models.
Experience /Knowledge in the full life cycle of software development, from design and implementation to testing and deployment and knowledge of agile software development processes
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial. Showcasing programming skills and problem-solving abilities through personal or academic projects is highly valued.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential, emphasizing the ability to work well in global and cross-cultural team. Fluency in English is a must for this role.
