Responsible Workplace Standards and Sustainability Specialist
Job Description:
The goal of this position is to improve workplace standards and sustainability practices among mica processors and miners.
This will be achieved by conducting audits and assessments to identify gaps in current practices and providing recommendations for improvement.
Additionally, the successful candidate will design and deliver training programs to equip processors and miners with knowledge and skills needed to improve their practices.
A key responsibility of the role is building relationships with stakeholders to promote the organization's mission and objectives.
Maintaining accurate records of progress, challenges, and lessons learned from the project is also essential.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies for improving workplace standards and sustainability practices among mica processors and miners.
- Conduct audits and assessments to identify gaps in current practices and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Design and deliver training programs to equip processors and miners with knowledge and skills needed to improve their practices.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and community representatives to promote the organization's mission and objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, challenges, and lessons learned from the project.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in International Development, Business, Engineer/Mining or related field.
- Social Auditing or a related field experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience in supply chain social and environmental auditing is necessary.
- Experience with sustainability standards and mining standards is a must.
- Good knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulation, industrial EHS requirements, quality and production systems is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience of multi-stakeholder projects' coordination and monitoring is required.
- Ideal candidates will have experience in facilitating training sessions and working in Rajasthan/or with Rajasthan stakeholders.
- At least 5 years of experience working on related missions is expected.
