Release Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager to lead our release planning and execution processes. This individual will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing comprehensive release plans that outline timelines, milestones, and dependencies across the release lifecycle.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments and be able to drive process improvements and optimize workflows.
  • This role requires excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work closely with Development, QA, Operations, and Product Management teams to ensure all teams are aligned and prepared for upcoming releases.
  • The Release Manager will also be responsible for identifying, tracking, and mitigating potential risks or issues that could impact release timelines or quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect)
  • Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Strong understanding of release processes in complex, large-scale environments
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and optimize workflows
