Civil Construction Leadership Role

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Construction Leader to oversee the execution of civil construction activities for our utility-scale solar power projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in civil engineering, leadership, and team management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Civil Construction Leadership: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all civil construction activities, including land development, foundations, roads, drains, cable trenches, control buildings, and other associated infrastructure.
  2. Technical Oversight: Conduct thorough reviews and approvals of civil engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  3. EHV and Substation Works: Oversee the civil works associated with Extra High Voltage lines, switchyards, and substations, guaranteeing high-quality results and adherence to project requirements.
  4. Quality and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and statutory norms through regular site inspections and audits.
  5. Team Management: Lead a team of civil engineers, supervisors, and contractors, allocating tasks and managing daily progress to meet project milestones.
  6. Cost and Resource Management: Contribute to cost estimation and budgeting for civil works, optimizing resource utilization and monitoring expenditures to prevent overruns.
  7. Risk Identification and Mitigation: Proactively identify risks in civil construction and implement effective mitigation plans.
  8. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless project execution.
  9. Progress Reporting: Maintain accurate site documentation and generate regular progress reports for senior management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 years in civil construction, with at least 8 years in utility-scale solar power projects.
  • Experience with the construction of 1 GW or more solar projects (cumulative).
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards and solar project construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality and HSE standards.
Leadership & Communication

You should possess strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, as well as proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.

Able to think critically and make informed decisions, you should be an effective decision-maker with a strong problem-solving aptitude.
