Financial Services Professional

The role offers a chance to grow professionally by consistently delivering high-quality work. Responsibilities include expanding duties over time to deliver insights, lead projects, and drive organizational change required by a growing enterprise.

Duties will initially involve:

  • Maintaining the general ledger in accordance with US GAAP by accurately processing transactions through the system and preparing journal entries in accounting software.
  • Daily management of the Accounting inbox.
  • Coding Vendor invoices and scheduling payments with an intelligent accounts payable platform.
  • Reviewing payroll reports from the provider and preparing journal entries.
  • Processing and recording bank transactions.
  • Invoicing customers and managing payments.
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations including cash, prepaid, accruals, capital assets, deferred revenue, and other items.
  • Understanding and projecting cash timing differences between financial statements.
  • Reviewing and preparing Excel files analyzing general ledger data, payroll, revenue, and other data.
  • Responding to inquiries from employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Supporting annual tax preparation and GAAP audit processes.
  • Assisting with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent with 2-3 years' experience. Public accounting experience is a plus. A professional certification such as CPA or CA is highly preferred.

Required skills include:

  • Knowledge of and experience applying US GAAP.
  • Experience in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, ZOHO, or similar systems.
