The role of the Assistant Pastry Chef involves supporting the Head Pastry Chef in preparing and presenting an assortment of pastries and baked goods.

This position requires a team player who can assist in creating visually appealing desserts, monitor ingredient stock levels, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and adhere to established kitchen protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparation of baking ingredients and adherence to traditional and modern recipes.

• Maintenance of a well-stocked and tidy kitchen environment.

• Assistance with decorating and presenting finished products.

• Ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards within the workspace.

Candidates must possess:

• Proficiency in pastry baking, cake decoration, and dessert making techniques.

• Experience in adapting and adjusting recipes as needed.

• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.

• Able to work collaboratively and follow direction.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is highly beneficial.
