Job Description

This is a highly commercial and analytical role requiring an individual who can combine financial management with business analysis. The role involves managing the Finance function for our Indian subsidiary, as well as acting as an analyst for our UK and International Commercial teams.

  • Key responsibilities include planning and execution of audit of Internal Financial control over financial reporting, responsible for all accounting related issues, and monitoring financial details to ensure legal requirements are met.
  • Financial reporting and budgeting, reporting to senior management, reviewing company financial reports and seeking ways to reduce costs and manage budget.
  • Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure, collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information, producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses etc.

As a Commercial Analyst, you will perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking for both the Indian business and the wider UK/International business. Key responsibilities include daily sales reporting, analyse financial data and create/maintain financial models for decision support, report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.

  • Identify trends, make recommendations for improvements, represent Finance within the UK Commercial team to ensure that business planning, accounting, and control are integrated into the decision-making process within the Commercial function.
  • Participate in Finance and multi-function project teams, work closely with the CFO and Financial Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting, identify and drive process improvements including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
  • Benchmarking analysis, prepare business cases.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong English language skills.
  • Qualified accountant.
  • 5+ years pharmaceutical experience preferable.
  • International company experience.
  • Management experience to include liaison with internal and external stakeholders such as senior management, auditors, suppliers, banks, insurance providers, contractors etc.
  • Highly analytical.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Self-disciplined, results focused with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to work to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience using analytical tools such as Power BI and CRM systems.
