Accounts Payable Leadership Role

Job Summary:

  • A seasoned Accounts Payable Manager oversees the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • They manage AP staff, enforce financial controls, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily AP operations, including invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations.
  • Manage, train, and support accounts payable staff to ensure high levels of efficiency and productivity.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and accounting standards to minimize risks.
  • Develop and implement effective AP processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Monitor vendor accounts, resolve discrepancies, and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate favorable terms.
  • Assist with audits, month-end, and year-end closing activities to ensure seamless financial planning and analysis.
  • Generate AP reports to support financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting, with leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AP best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.) and MS Excel to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines to meet business objectives.
