Cloud Engineer Job Description

As a seasoned cloud engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining scalable cloud-based systems. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of experts who are passionate about innovation and excellence.

  • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as GKE, Compute Engine and Cloud Storage.
  • Develop and deploy applications on GCP, utilizing containers, serverless computing and other modern technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and develop strategies to optimize cloud resource utilization.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing and emerging technologies, providing expertise and guidance to the team on best practices and trends.
  • Maintain high-quality code, adhering to industry standards and guidelines, and ensure that all code is well-documented and follows secure coding practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide 24/7 support for cloud-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for our services.

For this role, we are looking for a skilled professional with:

Technical Requirements:

  • 5-12 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure and Operations domains and IT operational experience preferably in a global enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services (GKE, Compute Engine).
  • Understanding of one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, Java, .Net).
  • Knowledge on Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef.
  • Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesos).
  • Good analytical, communication, problem-solving, and learning skills.
  • Strong service attitude and a commitment to quality.
