Application Project Manager Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Application Project Manager to lead our application development projects.

This role is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale, complex application development, implementation, and upgrade projects. As an Application Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, designing, building, configuring, commissioning, and maintaining projects while adhering to regular procedures to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading end-to-end application project management for large-scale, complex application development, implementation, and upgrade projects.
  • Developing project roadmaps and collaborating with business stakeholders to define and refine project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams, including software developers, designers, QA engineers, business analysts, and external vendors.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest level of quality.
  • Utilizing Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies, depending on project requirements, to ensure efficient and effective delivery.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks by managing project issues and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Tracking and reporting on project performance using project management tools and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Providing leadership and guidance to project team members, including mentoring and training junior project managers and team members.
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders to provide regular updates, escalate issues as necessary, and manage expectations.
  • Ensuring compliance with project management best practices, IT governance, data security, and change management processes.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure user adoption, training, and smooth handover of applications.
Requirements

We require a candidate with:

  • At least 8 years of experience managing large-scale application development and deployment projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methodologies, and project management best practices.
  • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in project management tools such as MS CRM 365 , MS Project, Azure DevOps, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, integration, and cloud platforms.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage diverse stakeholders and teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage project risks and issues proactively.
