Lead Sports Administrator

The Director – Sports will lead the development and implementation of sports programs, physical education and wellness initiatives across the institution.

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the overall vision, strategy, and policies for the sports department.
  • Sports Program Management: Oversee sports programs, inter-collegiate tournaments, training camps, and physical education curriculum.
  • Facilities Management: Manage sports facilities, gymnasiums, and grounds ensuring proper maintenance and utilization.
  • Talent Identification: Identify, recruit, and mentor talented athletes to represent the institution at various levels.
  • Culture Promotion: Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and faculty to promote a culture of fitness and sportsmanship.
  • Awareness Programs: Organize workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns on health, fitness, and sports.
  • Performance Evaluation: Supervise and evaluate the performance of sports coaches and staff.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote ethical sports practices.
  • Policies Implementation: Formulate and implement sports and physical education policies as per UGC/AIU norms.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Ph.D. in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in sports administration, coaching, or sports management.
  • Event Management: Proven track record of managing large-scale sports events and teams.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Modern Training Methods: Knowledge of modern training methods, sports technology, and performance analytics.
  • Competitive Representation: Record of having represented the university/college at inter-university / inter-collegiate competitions or the State and/or National championships.
  • National Policies: Knowledge of UGC AIU and national sports policies.
