Job Title: SAS Modeler Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance SAS Modeler Engineer to build, validate, and maintain statistical/predictive models using SAS and Python.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modeling & Analytics: Develop and maintain statistical/predictive models (SAS + Python) to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Migration Leadership: Lead the migration of SAS code to Python, ensuring seamless transition and optimal performance.
  • Code Translation: Convert SAS macros, procedures, and workflows into optimized Python equivalents, improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Best Practices: Establish modeling standards, workflows, and performance monitoring frameworks to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Mentorship: Guide team members on Python adoption, coding practices, and analytics workflows, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • Statistical Strength: Proficiency in regression, forecasting, clustering, classification, A/B testing, and causal inference.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong skills in Base SAS, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Miner, Visual Analytics, PROC SQL, and macros, as well as pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and PySpark.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver high-impact results.
