Job Title: Site Acquisition Specialist

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Land Identification and Acquisition:
    • Identify suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects in Maharashtra, taking into account technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
    • Determine the optimal land acquisition strategy to meet project requirements.
  • End-to-End Land Acquisition Management:
    • Oversee the scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover process for all acquired lands.
    • Coordinate with legal teams to ensure due diligence on land titles and maintain legal sanctity.
  • Relationship Building:
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
    • Negotiate agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Right of Way Acquisition:
    • Ensure compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies for RoW acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and registration.
    • Monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to secure cost-effective deals.
  • Documentation:
    • Verify accuracy and completeness of all land-related documents.
    • Coordinated between departments to ensure seamless documentation process.
  • Team Supervision:
    • Supervise a team of field officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
    • Provide regular feedback and coaching to enhance their performance.
  • Conflict Resolution:
    • Address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues promptly.
    • Develop and implement conflict resolution strategies to minimize risks.
  • Progress Updates:
    • Regularly update management on project progress, risk factors, and mitigation plans.
    • Present recommendations for improvement to optimize project outcomes.
