Software Engineering Manager, Site Reliability

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team at F5. As a key member of our Site Reliability Engineering team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development work within the SRE team, focusing on reducing toil and automating repetitive tasks for the SRE ops organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive software engineering experience with a focus on DevOps and SRE, proven expertise in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Ansible, and strong experience with observability platforms. A deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure), Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD, and Networking is also required. Excellent communication and presentation skills, problem-solving mindset, and strong management skills are essential for this role.

With 10+ years' experience in engineering and Team Lead/Management experience, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing local SRE Dev/DevOps teams, defining project plans and deliverables, investigating and resolving technical issues, and tracking issues and reporting statuses via platforms like Gitlab. They will also perform research and provide read-outs to teams on tools and technologies, provide guidance to team members, and improve Kubernetes application delivery to production.

The position requires a strong ability to address technical challenges effectively, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. The estimated salary for this position is $180,000 - $220,000 per year, depending on location and experience. Job Responsibilities:
