Job Overview

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical systems for various industrial applications. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating customer drawings and specifications to determine solutions within our standard products or engineered-to-order (ETO) offerings.

  • Evaluate customer drawings and specifications to determine solutions within Eaton's standard products or ETO engineered-to-order in accordance with NEC or IEC/IECEx standards.
  • Prepare detailed technical and commercial offers as per customer requirements, data sheets, and industry standards.
  • Review and provide compliance to customer technical queries.
  • Resolve project deviations to specifications and standards with the customer.
  • Prepare detailed general arrangement drawings with complete bills of materials using AutoCAD or Esplan software.
  • Ensure all necessary project documentation is prepared, including data sheets, certificates, and procedures, for customer approval.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality control, to ensure smooth manufacturing activities.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to gather information and align expectations.
  • Develop and maintain technical submittals and other essential documentation.
  • Familiarity with International Trade Policies (ITP), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Quality Assurance (QA), and Quality Control (QC) documents.
  • Knowledge of electrical products, including distribution boards, local control stations, lighting fixtures, and junction boxes.
  • Experience working with EPC Contractors and end-users in the oil and gas industry.
Qualifications and Skills

Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail while managing competing demands.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and relevant design tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A willingness to learn and grow, taking on new challenges.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office, Teams, Windows, and drawing tools like AutoCAD, Eplan, and ESP.
